Purchasing Assistant Dublin 12

We are currently looking to recruit for this full time permanent position

This role is to manage the stockholding for a portfolio of suppliers to ensure “out of stock” and “excess stock” targets are met in a cost effective manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Forecasting and ordering a specific set of products to ensure that a specific inventory level is achieved and maintained
  • Managing open orders with suppliers to ensure there is sufficient stock on hand at all times to satisfy customer demand
  • Minimizing Excess Stock levels
  • Monitoring supplier lead-times and performance and taking corrective action where necessary
  • Dealing with enquiries from the sales teams with regards to large orders and stock availability dates
  • Generation of specific reports and administrative tasks outlined by the Purchasing Manager

Requirements:

Suitable candidate must have the following in order to be screened for this role:

  • Excellent planning and analytical skills
  • 2 to 3 years working experience in a similar role to the above
  • Experience in dealing with stockholding and inventory management
  • Strong communication skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Desirable Skills Required:

  • Experience of dealing with Asian Suppliers
  • Proficiency in SAP Business One
  • Experience in freight and logistics
  • Negotiation skills

The salary guide for this role is €30K to €35K depending on experience
