Overview of role:
Description:
We are recruiting for a Senior Air & Ocean Freight Forwarder for our client a leading Irish-owned import and export logistics company based in Dublin 15.
Due to the location of the premises, you must have your own transport.
You will be responsible for the end-to-end processes for Air & Ocean import and export operations.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organise and execute air and ocean freight support activities such as order processing, order scheduling, and timely updating of transactions within the system
- Negotiating rates
- Account Management
- Deal with inbound emails, calls & queries liaising with customers and suppliers
- Monitor shipment status proactively and address issues promptly
- Ensure compliance with company and international regulations for all shipments and customs requirements
- Arrange billing and record profit margin on consignments
- Work closely with the team to deal with sales enquiries
- Work with airlines, shipping lines and agents on shipment updates & rates
Requirements:
- 5 years experience working in air and ocean freight operations essential in the Irish market
- Import & export operational experience essential
- Efficient MS Office skills
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills & attention to detail
- Customer-focused and a friendly disposition
- A team player with the ability to work on your own initiative
On Offer:
- This is a full-time permanent office based position
- Salary €50k – €60k
- Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm
