Overview of role:
Description:
We are seeking an Export Operations Specialist for our client, a multinational freight company based in Dublin North.
You will be handling the day to day shipping operations for our pharmaceutical clients, ensuring adherence to compliance and GDP guidelines. You will have knowledge and experience within Ireland of pharmaceutical export operations, and of working with overseas agents the ensure shipments are handled effectively and efficiently on a daily basis.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Enter the booking into our system
- Forward relevant documentations to brokers as appropriate
- Engage with clients re collection and shipping arrangements. Continually update and advise re progress and queries until delivery complete
- Liaise with ROCS and overseas agents regarding delivery details and ongoing storage or shipping requirements (e.g. refrigeration/temperature controls)
- Effectively handle any unforeseen delays, ensuring goods are adequately stored and protected
- Arrange and process all required clearances
- Engage with transport operators, domestic and overseas to ensure goods are collected, transported and delivered within set temperature tolerances
- Complete all administration, process invoices inclusive of all costs incurred
Requirements:
- Must have previous experience in export operations of pharmaceutical products
- At least 2 years of experience of ocean freight export operations
- Strong attention to detail & high standard of customer service
- Continual monitoring of all jobs to ensure adherence to planned progress by maintaining proactive communications with all supply chain partners
- High level of PC skills, Excel for reports, use of freight forwarding systems, email, MS Word
- Financial skills, good mathematical ability (for invoicing and working with rates of exchange)
- Complete all tasks in accordance to GDP and customer guidelines
- Ensure continued compliance with all regulatory requirements such as HPRA, AEO, IAA, Customs
- Logistics qualification desirable

- Full time permanent role with leading International Freight and Logistics partner
- Salary €40k to €50k, negotiable DOE
- Benefits package available on successful completion of probation (6 months)
