We are recruiting a Field Service Technician for our client in the medical device sector.
You will be tasked with providing on-site maintenance, installing, and testing equipment, troubleshooting issues, making repairs, and explaining to customers how to operate their devices.
(Full Training will be provided, however you need to be technically minded).
The range of products will cover equipment such as chairs, waste disposal products, furniture such as profiling beds, blood pressure monitors etc. Within medical settings such as care homes, hospitals and first aid facilities.
This role primarily covers the greater Dublin and Leinster area, with occasional travel to other locations nationwide.
Objectives of this role:
- Learn how to operate, repair, and troubleshoot equipment so that you can accurately answer customers’ questions
- Provide customers with tools and training to successfully operate their equipment
- Become an expert in identifying and diagnosing equipment issues and to understand how consumables work on the machines
- Work with internal teams to provide solutions to customer queries and resolve all issues
- Record all work completed and send a report after every job completed
Responsibilities:
- Install equipment in customers’ homes or places of business
- Train customers on how to operate their equipment
- Work with field sales representatives to thoroughly understand customer complaints and equipment issues before arriving on-site for maintenance
- Travel to job sites to troubleshoot issues, diagnose problems, and fix or replace equipment as needed
- Provide regularly scheduled, ongoing equipment maintenance visits
- Develop the role in expanding the types of items being serviced through self-learning and development
- Liaise with suppliers/manufacturers to gain expert training and advice, occasionally travel to supplier sites required for training
Suitable candidate must have the following to qualify for this position
- Minimum of 2 years experience performing on-site maintenance on machinery / equipment
- Full clean driving licence
- Ability to install equipment, diagnose problems, and make repairs given training
- Ideally we are looking for someone that is technically minded and can follow training
- Strong time-management skills and an ability to stick to a tight schedule
- Enthusiasm for providing excellent customer service
- Excellent communication skills
