We are looking to recruit an Internal Sales Team Leader for a large healthcare product distribution company based in Meath.
- Suitable candidate must have minimum of 4 years internal sales experience along with strong people management experience. Have a hands on approach and be capable and experienced in driving and motivating a sales team.
The Sales Team Development Leader will be responsible for driving sales performance while fostering a high-performing sales team culture. This role combines strategic sales leadership with team development initiatives, ensuring that sales targets are met and that team members are equipped with the necessary skills and motivation to excel.
The Sales and Team Development Lead is a responsible, hands-on individual who co-ordinates the team and encourages them to excel. They promote a positive internal and external communication. This is an office-based role.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Sales Leadership:
- Focused on achieving and exceeding their own sales targets by managing their own customer base
- Execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue team targets.
- Monitor sales metrics and analyse data to make informed decisions and drive performance
- Collaborate with the team (Key Account Managers and Customer Service Team) to align sales strategies with awareness campaigns
- Leading team development and improvement through consistent evaluation
- Enthusiastic leader with energy and drive who fosters an encouraging and optimistic mindset
Team Development:
- Monitor and assess training programs to ensure the teams’ sales skills and product knowledge are at an exceptional level
- Inspire the Internal Key Account Manager team to develop trust relationships with a portfolio of major clients to ensure they do not turn to competitors
- An individual who will lead the team by example, inspiring strong customer relationships through having a clear vision of our mission statement and understanding company values
- Conduct regular performance reviews to motivate and coach the team to achieve a competitive edge
- Lead and inspire your team to deliver exceptional levels of customer satisfaction
- Organise team-building activities and workshops to strengthen team dynamics
- Participate in the recruitment process to welcome genuine and exceptional members to the team
- Complete performance reviews and disciplinary measures as necessary
Collaboration and Communication:
- Facilitate positive and effective communication within the team and across departments
- Coordinate weekly pipeline reports to facilitate informative 1:1’s
- Open communication with your team regarding their requirements for successful pipeline development
- Awareness, organisation and representation at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations to enhance customer relationships
- Utilise effective communication and negotiation skills to resolve conflicts and promote understanding among team members
Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare weekly reports on sales activity and pipeline performance for the Director of Sales
- Have a fundamental understanding of our core markets and competition and ensure any new insights are communicated effectively from and to the team
