Our client is based on a large manufacturing site in Leixlip, and is looking for Qualified Mechanics OR Electricians making a career change, and who would train up into the Semiconductor industry as a Service Engineer.

Suitable candidates MUST be a qualified Mechanic or Electrician with minimum 3 years post qualified work history.
- Flexible to work shift
- Willing to travel to US for training
- Must have EU passport for travel purposes
- Open to travelling aboard when required
Position Summary:
- Responsible for quality on-site repair and maintenance service of complex electro-mechanical systems. Replace defective units, components or parts as appropriate
- Apply troubleshooting techniques to eliminate equipment malfunctions
- Install or relocate customer equipment and perform associated start-up and check-out procedures under supervision
- Perform application related Project Management, which includes executing of project action items under direct supervision
- Shadow more experienced engineers at customer sites to gain the relevant certification levels
- Professionally represents the company to the customer
- Frequent business travel required
Requirements:
- MUST be fully qualified mechanic in order to qualify for this role with minimum 3 years post qualification experience
- Must be a EU Passport in order to travel to US for training
- Solid analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent English with strong communication skills written and verbal
